People probably weren’t expecting a Wimbledon final between Barbora Krejcikova and Jasmine Paolini, but this is still an exciting matchup. While Krejcikova’s ranking might suggest she’s nothing but an above-average player, it’s important to remember that she’s a former world No. 2 and won the French Open in 2021. She’s one of the most talented players in the women’s game and she’s smack in the middle of her prime. That’s why the oddsmakers have her favored over Paolini, who was the runner-up at the French Open a month ago. That said, don’t sleep on this battle at the All England Club. These two are capable of giving us a fantastic tennis match. Keep reading for our Krejcikova vs. Paolini betting preview and Wimbledon predictions to see how this might play out.
I also post more tennis predictions on the Pro Picks page. I occasionally add some picks throughout the day, as I like to see how odds are moving. So, keep checking that page every couple of hours if you want more of my picks. I’ll also post plays for smaller tournaments on that page.

Barbora Krejcikova vs. Jasmine Paolini Predictions
Krejcikova’s win over Elena Rybakina is being billed as a huge upset, but it really wasn’t all that crazy. Krejcikova is a former top-five player and she’s only 28 years old. That elite level is in there and her health is the only thing standing in the way of us seeing it consistently. Krejcikova was also 2-0 against Rybakina heading into that match, so she has proven that she likes that matchup. Now, Krejcikova is a favorite to win the Wimbledon final, despite being the world No. 32 and going up against the seventh-ranked player on the WTA Tour.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the public pounces on Paolini at a plus-money number here. She’s a top-10 player that is coming off a run to the French Open final and she’s also pretty easy to root for. But I really like Krejcikova to win this match. Paolini is undoubtedly a great defensive player, and her forehand is a massive weapon. But Krejcikova is a genius when it comes to constructing points. She’s going to move Paolini all around the court with her slice shots and baseline precision. And when she gets Paolini in a vulnerable position, she’ll put away points — whether it’s with a baseline winner or a net rush. Krejcikova is also just a little more trustworthy as a server. The Czech star holds at nearly 80.0% on grass, while Paolini is at just about 70.0%. That is what helped her get through a gauntlet that included Danielle Collins, Jelena Ostapenko and Rybakina.
The only thing I’m really worried about here is that Krejcikova could be a little fatigued. Not only is she deep in a major for the first time in a while, but she also played four doubles matches in this tournament. However, Krejcikova only grew stronger throughout her match against Rybakina, so I’m going to trust that her body will hold up here. And honestly, Paolini stated that she was exhausted and heading right to the ice bath after her epic three-set win over Donna Vekic in the semifinals. So, perhaps the Italian will be the one that struggles to find her legs.
Bet: Krejcikova ML (-140)
