College Football DFS Week 2 is here and both FanDuel and DraftKings DFS are offering massive tournaments.

We have slightly different slates on each site, with DraftKings offering more of a main slate and FanDuel DFS offering a more broken-up slate of games. Let’s dive into the top CFB DFS Week 2 picks.

CFB DFS Week 2 Quarterbacks for FanDuel & DraftKings

Bryce Young - Alabama - DK $10,200 FD $11,800

The Alabama Crimson Tide typically play non-competitive games early in the season and the starters are usually candidates to sit early. In this game, that’s not the case as ‘Bama is favored by just 20.5 points over the Texas Longhorns.

That means we will get a full game out of Bryce Young, and he is easily the top option at QB on the slate. The floor for Young here is four TDs and 300+ total yards, with a ceiling over 50 FPs. The price fits the expected production as the most expensive option on the board, so don’t be afraid to go elsewhere in tournaments.

Hendon Hooker - Tennessee - DK $7,800 FD $11,200

Hooker is priced way too low in a game where Tennessee is expected to put up 40+ points. Hooker had a disappointing game in week 1 against Ball State and still escaped with 30 fantasy points. Hooker has a massive ceiling and the Pittsburgh Panthers defense showed its weakness against West Virginia in week 1, allowing 31 points.

The price on Hooker dropped drastically on DraftKings and for no good reason. He is rightfully the second highest-priced QB on FanDuel, but is instead QB7 on DK. In turn, Hooker is my top option on DraftKings in both cash games and tournaments and I’ll have 100% exposure.

On FanDuel, Hooker is a pure tournament play with Bryce Young just $600 more expensive and plenty of other solid options cheaper.

Donovan Smith - Texas Tech - DK $7,700 FD $8,600

If we’re going to talk about a defense that showed their susceptibility in week 1, the Houston Cougars gave up 35 points and nearly lost to the UTSA Roadrunners. They allowed 300+ yards and face off with a Texas Tech offense that is eager to play some actual competition.

Coming off a 63-10 win over Murray State, the Red Raiders played a perfect half before deferring to the backups. Donovan Smith beat out Tyler Shough for the starting gig in the offseason and it’s not hard to see why when you watch him play. Smith is going to be overlooked on this slate and he’s my favorite GPP option on the board.

Also Consider - Sam Hartman, Tyler Van Dyke, Quinn Ewers

CFB DFS Week 2 Running Backs for FanDuel & DraftKings

Deuce Vaughn - Kansas State - DK $7,600 FD $9,500

If you’re new to CFB DFS, get used to hearing and seeing the name Deuce Vaughn. He’s not only one of the best running backs and athletes in College Football, but the Kansas State Wildcats feed him like crazy. Vaughn routinely touches the ball 25-30 times a game as KSU knows it’s their only chance to win.

Kansas State is a 7.5-point favorite over a Missouri Tigers defense that ranked 125th in 2021 when it came to rushing defense. Vaughn is not only one of the best rushers in NCAAF, but he’s also going to see 6-10 targets and be a huge part of the passing game.

Whether Kansas State is leading or playing from behind, Vaughn is the focal point. He’s the top play in all formats on both FD and DK.

Bijan Robinson - Texas - DK $7,300 FD $9,000

In terms of game script, you don’t typically want to target running backs on teams that are 20.5-point underdogs. In this case, though, the Texas Longhorns know their only hope to keep things close with ‘Bama is to give Robinson massive volume. He’s right next to Vaughn as one of the best RBs in the nation, but is thought to be the top dog for the next level.

The Alabama Crimson Tide defense isn’t nearly as consistent as their offense. Early in the season, expect Texas to have success running the ball. Robinson won’t have one of his bigger days of the season here, but he will touch the ball 20+ times at the very least and production is inevitable with his talent.

Devon Achane - Texas A&M - DK $6,800 FD $8,600

Achane was surprisingly inefficient against Sam Houston State, rushing 18 times for a measly 42 yards. Hopefully that keeps some of the ownership away from Achane as I will be more than happy to jump on him. The Sam Houston State defense is good at one thing and it’s stopping the run. We know Achane is a beast and using a one-game sample size is reckless.

The Texas A&M Aggies offense starts with Achane, and he’ll see 20+ touches in any game that matters. The Aggies are 19-point favorites over Appalachian State, who we know can give up points to an offense far worse than TAMU. Achane isn’t on the same level as Robinson or Vaughn, but I’ll certainly have more than the field.

Also Consider - Chase Brown, Tahj Brooks, Marshawn Lloyd

CFB DFS Week 2 Wide Receivers for FanDuel & DraftKings

Nathaniel Dell - Houston - DK $6,000 FD $9,600

Nathaniel Dell, like Hendon Hooker, has inexplicably dropped on DraftKings to just $6K. On FanDuel, he’s the second most expensive WR on the board at $9,600 and rightfully so. He’s one of the best receivers in the country and scored twice in week 1.

Houston faces Texas Tech in a game that’s very likely to be a shootout with a 63.5 over/under and tight spread. This one is quite simple. On DraftKings, play 100% of Dell. The only way he doesn't hit value is if he gets injured. On FanDuel, he’s my second option to A.T. Perry on the high end.

Luther Burden III - Missouri - DK $5,900 FD $7,500

If you haven’t heard of Luther Burden, he’s the top freshman WR prospect and No. 3 overall in the class. Missouri used him like they should in week 1, targeting Burden seven times through the air and three times on the ground. He scores and put up 19 fantasy points in a game that will likely become his baseline.

Missouri will probably be trailing in this game and Kansas State would rather give it up through the air than on the ground. Expect closer to 10 targets this week and for the price on Burden to slowly rise.

Michael Mayer - Notre Dame - DK $3,900

We have another DraftKings CFB DFS free square here with Michael Mayer under $4k. He’s the Fighting Irish's No. 1 option in the passing game and will put up 15 or so fantasy points in most contests. At his price, there’s no reason to go elsewhere outside of purely trying to be different.

Also Consider - A.T. Perry, Cedric Tillman, Lavel Davis, Parker Washington
